How does Substack Work? (Part 4)

Creating a post, Getting used to the Substack editor and exploring it’s options

After signing up and configuring all my settings, it’s time to create a post.

Actually, we have quite a few options here:

• New post
• New note
• New thread
• New episode
• New video

But for now, let’s create a new post.

Titles & Headings (H1, H2, H3…)

So far, I like the interface. It’s easy to use and there are a lot of (but not too many) options. Quite a lot of headings though. I think I’ll only use H1-H3 headings.

Did you know that the usage of H1 headings is really crucial for SEO? SEO sees the H1 heading as the main title or topic of the page. Other headings, such as H2, H3, etc., are also important as they help to structure the content and make it easier for readers to navigate the page.
