My First Month After Being Monetized on Medium (Earnings Report)
Is writing on Medium worth it? Here are the results.
I applied for monetization as soon as i reached my 100 subscribers threshold, on Sunday January 1 , 2023.
One day later, the monetization was approved.
I was so excited, happy and motivated! I started writing & publishing more articles.
Empty earnings report
The next days, I was checking the earnings report constantly. I was so curious what the results would be. But I had to be patient, according to Medium’s explanation:
“Your dashboard only displays posts that have earned during the current earning period. As your posts earn, they will populate the list. Daily earnings shown in your dashboard may take up to 48 hours to be finalized. The amounts displayed may be updated during this time.”
But every time I checked my earnings report in the coming days, the counter said “$0”.
WTF?! Am I doing something wrong?
