YouTube automation is a business model where you make money via YouTube without showing your face on camera.

Are you a non-member? You can read this story here for free.

Of course you can do it if you want, but most people choose not to.

How does it work?

Simply said, we outsource everything to people you can find on Fiverr/Freelancer/Upwork. To create a YouTube video, you need the following:

  • A Script (and a script writer)
  • A Voice Over (and a Voice Over Artist / Narrator)
  • A Video editor

With these 3 things, you can create nice videos, which you can then upload to YouTube.

  • After meeting some conditions, you can apply for the YouTube Partner Program.
  • YouTube will pay you monthly according to the number of views your videos generate.

How much does it cost?

When I started out 1 year ago, in 2021, the average cost for a decent YouTube video was around 50–70 USD per video. You need around 12 videos per month, so that would put your total costs at 600–840 USD per month. This is quite a lot, and it’s becoming even more expensive with everything that’s been happening in our economy lately.

Can I do it in a cheaper way? The answer is yes and no. Yes if you do it yourself. No if you outsource it.

Quality over Quantity

Related to the above — if you pay more than 800 USD per month for YouTube videos, then you better make sure that the quality is amazing.

YouTube’s algorithms prefer high quality videos over low quality videos. And then I’m not talking about 720p or 4K, no, I’m talking about whether the video is entertaining to watch or not. If you know that 720,000 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube EVERY DAY, then you understand how important it is to distinguish yourself by creation valuable content.

  • Use human voice overs, not AI.
  • Use high quality video footage, not still images.
  • Edit the video in an entertaining way, don’t make it boring.
